ABOUT DAVID BOYER

At the illegal age of 16, David Boyer was introduced to Chablis from France's Burgundy region and from there became enamored of fine wine. Later as an adult, Boyer started to get serious about learning wine and spent years studying and tasting the world of wine. For the past several years he has written for a wine blog and website he created at www.classof1855.com, which is Bordeaux-centric and relates to one of wine's most historical (and controversial) documents: The Classification of 1855.

"I never imagined myself being a wine critic exactly", Boyer remarked "and always thought it would be quite difficult work. Having gone through the process for Better Wine Guide verified for me that being a wine critic is not easy. Still I wouldn't trade the experience for anything."

Boyer claims his greatest pleasure concerning wine is being able to introduce someone to a great wine and certainly Better Wine Guide is perfectly aligned with that goal in mind. "Considering all of the high quality wine available in the world today, it's still challenging to find wines we like if there's no unbiased information about them," Boyer said. "Hopefully, I'll be able to turn a lot of people on to wine that they may never have tried but become favorites through Better Wine Guide."
